• Client Tattoo Process

    Starting The Process:

Please fill out the tattoo form linked above and allow up to a weeks time for an e-mail response. After reviewing the information provided we can determine if a consultation will be necessary.

    Leaving A Deposit:

After you leave a (non-refundable) deposit we can proceed with booking a date & time for your tattoo appointment (& consultation, if necessary).

Roach does not send/show any drawings or sketches of the tattoo design before the appointment. Roach’s Form and consultation process is very thorough to ensure we capture the inspo/vibes for your idea perfectly! We try to ensure there is enough time in your session for us to make any small changes you may want to the design together.

    The Day Of Your Appointment:

For your session please come well rested, fed, and hydrated. Please eat a filling meal a few hours before your appointment. Bring a snack and a water/sports drink if possible to keep your energy up. Let Roach know if you prefer a quiet session so you can zone out, or a conversation to distract you, if you’d like to listen to specific music, or etc. If is possible we will try to make that happen for you so you can be as comfortable as you can during your session!

If you need to take a breather, a bathroom break, or etc at any point during your session, don’t be afraid to let Roach know~

    Things To Consider:

Bring/wear clothes that will allow me best access to the part of your body you want tattooed. For example an upper leg tattoo may require a flowy skirt or loose shorts. A rib placement may require a comfy sport bra or an oversized button up shirt and etc! :^)

Tips are welcome and always super appreciated. <3

  • Tattoo Aftercare

For new tattoos it’s good to have the following available at home:

Antibacterial Liquid soap (Dial Gold, Softsoap, Etc) & Lotion (You probably have lotion at home, like Cerave, Lubriderm, Etc.)

    • After your session we’ll put ointment & a traditional gauze bandage on your tattoo. Allow the tattoo to “weep” over night. After ~12 hours you may take the gauze bandage off.

    • Wash the tattoo with warm water and liquid soap. Wash off any dried ink, blood, body fluids. Gently pat dry with a paper towel. Your preferred method of healing will determine your next steps .

You will need the following for the Adhesive Bandage healing :

An adhesive bandage of your choice (Tatwax, Second Skin, Saniderm, Tegaderm, Etc)

    • Carefully apply your adhesive bandage on your clean and dry tattoo. Make sure the tattoo is fully covered and there are no air bubbles on the tattooed skin.

    • Leave this bandage on for 4-5 days. This bandage is breathable & waterproof but be careful not to overly sweat/get it too wet to prevent the adhesive from unsticking.

    • Remove the bandage, clean the tattoo, and put on lotion 2-3 times a day as necessary.

You will need the following for the Traditional Ointment healing :

Healing Ointment (Aquaphor, A&D, Hustle Butter, Tattoo Glide, Etc)

    • After washing and drying your tattoo the day after your session you can put a very thin layer of ointment on the fresh tattoo. Just enough ointment so your skin looks shiny in the light.

    • Wash, dry, and put a thin layer of ointment on your tattoo 3 times a day for the next 4 days. Allow the tattoo to breath and do not cover the tattoo with any additional bandages.

    • After 4 days, clean the tattoo, and put on lotion 2-3 times a day as necessary.
